Can you tell us about yourself

I am Prittican Meena Yakubu, from Kogi State. A simple and easy going girl from a Muslim home and also from a family of 8.

 

 

 

How did you get into acting/Entertainment

I've always loved acting from my childhood. I choose to come out on my own because I know am good at what I do and I always believe in myself.

 

How has acting/entertainment affected you as a person
(Deep breath) Yeah.......Smile! Acting has really opened doors for me in so many ways when I was rejected. Because my face had been spotted out as actress I am now welcome. In the movie industry I have become popular and even seen as a star.

 

How successful can you say you have been

Hahahahahah (this questions is a harden one o, I don't even kns wats I wanna talk but us wanna try). Wow, Acting Has really taken me to places I never believed I could reach. Places such as the east  to film my skit, Lagos and out of the country ( Benin republic) and so many country I can't remember!

 

What makes you unique or different from other of your colleagues

Me believing In myself and not trying to be others.

 

What's that one thing you don't want to remember

Laughing!!!..... I just can't stop laughing..........I just don't want  to remember that moment when a movie marketer shouted at  me saying I was not fit for his job. That no matter how I try, l won't be known in the movie industry right in front of my other colleagues. They all started laughing at me.......I cried that day erhnnnnnnnn.

 

You do add comic to your act, why so

Yeah, I'm a comic person for real you know, I am not just the acting type, that's my personality.

 

As an upcoming, who were you looking up to as your role model

 Smile.......Yeah, God is my number one because my help, wisdom and everything I do is directly from Him. In the industry I have two people I'm looking up to Miami Funke Akindele Bello A.k.a  Jennifer and my priceless gold, Helen Paul.

What has the government done to assist Nollywood since its a medium to promote our cultural heritage

Question for the boss, my ogas at the top because I've no ideals.

Who discovered you

Sorry to say nobody discovered me, only my Creator did. I had the passion right from when I was 8yrs old.

 

As an African, what is the most unique thing about your culture and tradition

Wooooooow! One thing I know is we Africans are very creative and good at what we do.

 

We believe the African culture and tradition has lost its value in families and our society as a result of parents adopting western culture, how can we change this
They say a Patient Dog Eats The Fastest and Nourished Bone......Patience is the best legacy to that question.

 

What is your favorite role

As a professional that I am, I can play any role given to me, anytime and any day.

 

What do you want to say to your fans

I Want to Use This Opportunity to say thank you to everyone who believed In me and those who didn't. Because without you guys I wouldn't  have made it up here.........shootouts to my friends, Faith Nwogu and H2o-Dcomedian...My God father-Livinus Nnochi......Director David Oluwaseun Olumuyiwa (Fishpole)....... All my big fans I can't really remember I say thank you to everyone who has been there for me ........Hey Fans Please Don't Stop being good  to others no matter what they have done too you.....  you never can tell who is watching your back!
