How did you began acting
The journey started way back from primary school before it kicked off
professionally couple of years back..
Which job can you describe as most
challenging
(Rotimi Salami) |
Every bit of the acting journey had been challenging, most especially what it
takes to get the roles, Also I have lost so many roles because of my
babyface... I have featured in lots of prominent TV series, Sit-coms and movies
but I am still yet to get a role I can tag CHALLENGING.. I guess that role is
on its way. Lol
What is that thing you don't want to
remember
I want to remember everything, the good, bad and ugly... They all have a
way of shaping my present and future to become a great successful man.
What's that one thing you think the
world don't know about you
My zeal to make the world a better place with my craft.
How many award is in your cabinet
Just this Biiiiiiig one for now... Lol
Tell us about your fashion style
Simple and classy.... I dress with mood and events.
Who is your role model, tell us about
him/her and how your life has been affected you
HRITHIK ROSHAN an Indian actor... he is a complete work of art... his character
interpretation meets a 99% for me.. An actor with a difference... watching him
over the years had motivated my craft so much that even if I am to play just a
scene on any set.. I interpret it like I am a lead actor who can't give room
for any flaws.
What do you do when you are not onset
I have couple of community developmental projects that I'm floating with my
team to educate and sensitize the youths and community at large preparing us
for a milestone. Other times, I am either writing, watching films or spending
time with my family.
Where do you see yourself in 5years
Where God wants me to be... Greater height as ordained.
How do you relax
With my family.. at home or hangouts
What are you daily routine
Wake, kiss my baby and wife, pray, little pushups, fiddle my phone for general
updates and start my day as planned the previous night if not on set.
What's your favorite meal
Rice and plantain garnished with other orisirisi.. Lol
Tell us about your CULTURE and how it
has help you overcome difficult life challenges
(Rotimi Salami) |
I am a proud Yoruba man with the best culture...
One general fact about we Yoruba's is we are very respectful and that has taken
me places.. a very good example was when I wanted a partnership deal to air my AMVCA
2014 award nominated sit-com titled KUTI'S CAREER PALACE... That deal came
through twice on different occasions because of my respectful culture.
Good cultural traits have a way of opening some locked doors.. you will mostly
get it before any other person does.
How can we ensure the sustainability of
the African culture and what role will you play
More awareness about our best cultural heritages and I have started that in my TV
sit-com and upcoming seminars and workshops in my community.
What do you want to say to those who
have supported and encouraged you in rough and trying times.
I feel blessed to have them all, Without everyone of them, I wouldn't be
where I am now, and I need everyone's support and prayers now more than ever. I
pray that God blesses all of us richly.
THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING AN INTERVIEW WITH ME.
Cheers!
