Who is Christian Paul

 I am an Actor, Model, video vixen, preacher and entrepreneur, I own a nursery and primary school known as Chrisfavour Schools located at Ebute Metta East Lagos. I have featured in eight musical videos namely: Korede Bello with Don jazzy Godwin, Iyanya Applauds, Estar Ije love, 2kay who no like better thing, Quincy featuring kcee Landlord, kiss Daniel jombo etc. For adverts I did MTN season of surprise with Chidinma, Paize and Shina Peters, Stanbic Ibtc pensions, Access bank paywithcapture, vitafoam etc I have also featured in several soaps like Tinsel, unayi health center, so wrong so right, Tales of Eve, Ebonylife TV series the governor etc.

Not excluding some prominent cinema and other movies I have done like The Antique, The Road to Yesterday, The grave Dust, Hush, Till u are Sixteen, scarlet, from within, Lies untold, Secondary school girls, SS3 students, final year students, Carrier woman, Barrister Anita, Helpless sisters, War against Men, Sons of Zebedee. One room, This thing called marriage, locked up etc.

 

 
How did you get into acting/Entertainment
It all started when I met Ricardo Agbor, Fred Amata and Chidi Nwokeabia at the stadium while jogging. They encouraged me and then Ricardo took me in his car to the  AGN office.

 

How has acting/entertainment affected you as a person
Well, in the business, there’s the good, the bad and the ugly. Anywhere u go it’s for u to choose where u want to belong. I had a religious background before joining the industry so it helped me a great deal.

How successful can you say you have been

I'm doing well by God's grace

What makes you unique or different from other of your colleagues
 I'm natural, I don't try to be anyone else. I'm just myself and they like it.

What's that one thing you don't want to remember

The collapse of my former empire and me squatting in three places here in Lagos before God lifted me.

Have you ever thought of quitting
Not really, but I intend to major in something else in future.

As an upcoming actor, who is your role model in the industry

 Ramsey Noah; For his acting prowess

 We recently heard of another fraction in the industry called New Nollywood, Is there disunity among he AGM executives
I don't engage in their politics but I certainly believe that injecting new ideas would help.

Where is Nollywood right now in comparison with other movie industries like Bollywood, Hollywood and etc
We haven't taken our rightful place, but hopefully we will get there

What has the government done to assist Nollywood since it’s a medium to promote our cultural heritage?
The former government did their bit I'm hoping the new administration will do better.

 Any local or international recognition?
Yes, three of my adverts have been shown on CNN and other international media platforms.

Any awards in your cabinet
I have won two awards Hope legacy award and Matured model of the year (Men) 2015

What was the feeling like when you won your first award
I felt great

 Who discovered you
Vivian Egbon, An actress I once met who visited my neighborhood in Surulere told me I will do well as an actor. I haven't seen her since I started acting but hope to meet her again.

As an African, what is the most unique thing about your culture and tradition
Every culture and tradition is unique in its own way

We believe the African culture and tradition has loose its value in families and our society as a result of parents adopting western culture; how can we change that
We must speak our native dialect to our kids, take them to the village regularly, dress them in our traditional attire, give them our local food and teach them our culture and tradition.

What’s your commitment to the change you want to see
Everyone has a part to play in preserving our cultural values
