Geraldine Alozie, a Lagos based actress confesses how she gets
harassed by film makers before getting roles.
I’ve been involved in acting right from
childhood but I joined the industry in 2015.
Leaving the east for Lagos, what has
been your greatest challenge?
East to Lagos wasn’t any different for me because I
have been a great traveler right from time. I adapt easily.
What are some the things you love
doing?
I love singing and writing
stories
Can you share with us some challenges you
have encountered in the industry so far?
Getting into the industry one
must be ready to face challenges. It’s a great challenge as a young lady in the
industry. Firstly, people see me as being naughty. Secondly, to get roles most
directors and producers want to sleep with me and some also demand for money.
For those who don’t know you, what are some of
the things you have done?
I contested for Lagos Dorm Girl
Reality TV show season 1. I was awarded as the most entertaining girl in the
house. I have also featured in a sitcom Drama titled “HUSTLE”. I have done some
Nollywood movies like Ashawo high School, Enemy of Christ Etc.
What is your advice for young ladies who have
just joined the film industry?
I advice my fellow young ladies
who are also new in the industry not to be desperate. They should focus on God,
be unique, don’t try to be someone else. Be yourself and value yourself. To get
to the top is a lot difficult but the key is determination and persistency.
That’s my own piece of advice.
